Stephanie Talbott

I usually hate going to the dentist, but these folks are super friendly and accommodating. The dental assistant John really helped me feel welcome and relaxed. Very thorough exam and they even showed me before and after photos of my teeth cleaning. I’m going back in a few weeks to get my wisdom teeth removed and I am confident they will take good care of me. I definitely recommend 04 Dental, especially for those with strong aversion to having their teeth worked on!

I was a new patient at 04 Dental. I filled out the new patient forms online before my appointment and it expedited the visit. The team made me feel welcome from the second I walked through the door. The team was happy to answer all of my questions and gave me plenty of advice on dental hygiene. I was happy to schedule another visit by the end of the session. I’m confident in recommending 04 Dental! Give them a try! I left with cleaner teeth and a brighter smile!

Emergency Dentist in Austin, Texas

If you are experiencing severe pain in or around your mouth that doesn't go away after two days, or if an injury causes swelling, bleeding, or bruising on your lips or gums, you may be experiencing a dental emergency. Similarly, if you have difficulty chewing food for more than two weeks at a time, if it feels like there is something unusual stuck in your teeth when brushing them, or they are sore to touch, you are likely experiencing warning signs of an oral health issue. Don't suffer alone—Dr. Meredith Mosier at 04 Dental is the premiere emergency dentist in Austin, TX.

We understand how difficult it can be to find a dental clinic when you're in need of emergency dental services. Fortunately, 04 dental is accepting new patients seven days a week If you're experiencing any of the above symptoms and reside within the Austin, TX region, contact 04 Dental as soon as possible. Dr. Meredith Mosier offers a wide range of emergency dental services and can provide you with relief from the pain.

All Patients Are Welcome

Whether you are new to the Austin area and 04 Dental, or have been a patient of ours for years, we are proud to offer emergency services for all Austin residents. Of course, it is our hope that you never experience a dental emergency, but if you do, know that 04 Dental and Dr. Mosier are here to help.

Dr. Mosier earned her DDS through the University of Texas, San Antonio and completed a prestigious general dentist residency with Texas A&M, where she focused on digital dentistry, dental implants, and orofacial aesthetics. The 04 Dental team is well-equipped to provide a wide variety of services on an emergent basis. Here are the most common:

  • Broken Teeth—If you have a broken tooth, it's important to visit 04 Dental as soon as possible. Depending on the severity of the tooth break, we may be able to bond or extract the tooth to eliminate your pain and improve your smile.
  • Toothache—A toothache is one of the most common dental emergencies and can be caused by a variety of dental issues. Issues like cracked and broken teeth, cavities, abscesses, and other underlying dental problems can become more severe with time, so it is critical to address them right away before you experience further damage.
  • Swelling—Swelling and redness are two primary signs of infection, so if you're experiencing swelling in your gums, face, or jaw, consult with an Austin emergency dentist right away. We can provide you with pain relief and ensure that the infection doesn't spread to other areas of your body.
  • Broken Crown or Implant—Crowns, implants, and other types of dental prostheses are designed to stop infection from spreading, improve the look of your smile, and keep your teeth from moving into a space left by an extracted tooth. Should one of these implements become damaged or fall out altogether, it is important to repair or replace it as soon as possible.

How to Prevent Dental Emergencies

In addition to visiting 04 Dental in the event of a dental emergency, it's important to take preventative steps to stop emergencies from happening in the first place. Here are some tips to help you maintain healthy teeth and gums, and potentially avoid future emergencies:

  • Brush your teeth at least twice a day. Brushing your teeth at least twice a day is the best way to ensure and maintain good oral health. Be sure you're brushing for two minutes each time and using a soft-bristled toothbrush to avoid damaging your teeth.
  • Be sure you're using the correct technique. When brushing your teeth, use a circular motion and brush on the inside surfaces of your teeth as well as the chewing surfaces.
  • Floss at least once a day. Flossing is the best way to remove food particles and plaque that can get trapped between your teeth. Be sure you're flossing for at least a minute each time and use an appropriate flossing tool.
  • Visit your trusted dentist regularly. Visiting your dentist for cleanings and checkups is the best way to ensure that any potential dental problems are caught early. Routine visits can also help keep your teeth and gums healthy.
  • Use a mouth guard to protect your teeth. If you participate in sports, a mouth guard can help to protect your teeth and gums from injury by flying balls, other players, and contact with the ground. If you grind your teeth at night, a mouth guard can prevent the enamel on your teeth from wearing away.

By following these tips, you can help prevent dental emergencies from happening in the first place.
