Julian Lopez

I rarely ever write reviews but I need to clarify how amazing my experience was. Laura upfront was kind and caring, reassuring me of all my concerns! Nixza did an amazing job clarifying the different treatment plans and Ana the hygienist was welcoming and attentive. I have nothing bad to say about my experience, if I could give more than five stars I would!!!

Alfonso Candelaria

I had my cleaning today with Mrs. Ana Garcia hygienist and her assistant Angela was great, and the front desk specially Judith franco was very helpful. She made easy my appointment, and really fast. Really friendly environment.

Emergency Services Provided at Coast Dental Cape Coral

“Emergency” doesn't always mean a dramatic, life-or-death scenario. In general, a regular appointment can take some time to schedule because the idea is that you are there for a standard cleaning with no pressing concerns. Emergency services are for anyone who can't wait months to be seen because there is clear and immediate dental distress. We offer our emergency services such as:

  • Avulsed Teeth - Also known as a knockout, this can be caused by a hard hit to the face, jaw, or mouth. Most cases we see involve some type of sport, but accidents are also common. It is important to have a lost tooth examined as soon as possible to ensure that no further damage has been done to the root, surrounding tissue, or blood vessels. Other tooth damage can include chips, breaks, or cracks that need a professional assessment to determine the best treatment for restoration.
  • Gum Tenderness - Gums are an important aspect of our overall dental health. As soft tissue, they are even more susceptible to damage than our actual teeth. Any pain should be taken seriously as it could be a symptom of a concern deep in the tissue.
  • Toothache Assessment - You may notice a sharp pain when eating or drinking, especially when there is a rapid temperature change. This is commonly referred to as a toothache. Many patients don't assume this is a concern until it is a serious issue. It is important to understand that toothaches are often a symptom of a larger problem that needs to be addressed before true relief can happen.
  • Extractions - A tooth that is damaged or undergoing complex decay might benefit most from complete removal. This is often the case in situations where the spread of infection is a threat. Removal also helps to rapidly eliminate pain associated with the problem tooth.
  • Jaw Tenderness - Your dental health goes beyond your teeth and your gums. Your jaw bone and surrounding supportive tissue also play a major role. If you notice any tenderness or swelling, this could be caused by an infection that has spread along the jawbone. Dr. May can help pinpoint the cause of the infection and provide the relief you need.
  • Root Canal - Often misunderstood as a long, painful procedure, this couldn't be further from the truth. Due to technology and updated methods, this procedure is a painless, quick service that can help restore a severely damaged or decayed tooth. Many candidates for this procedure have already experienced repeat fillings or crowns to the problem tooth.
  • Crown Replacement or Repair - A crown is a dental apparatus that is custom-fitted to a problem tooth that has needed repair. A crown becoming loose or falling out is often a clear signal that further damage has happened to the tooth in question. It is important to have this replaced as soon as possible to prevent any further issues. This applies to fillings as well.

How to Prevent Dental Emergencies

Most dental emergencies are caused by damage or decay. These issues rarely happen overnight. This is why proper dental hygiene is so important. The best way to prevent dental emergencies is to take care of your teeth before significant issues arise. This starts at home with proper flossing and brushing. Another great way to avoid the need for a dental emergency appointment is to attend regular cleaning appointments at least twice a year. This helps Dr. May keep track of your overall dental health. Any inconsistencies can be spotted and dealt with before they turn into a larger issue.

Schedule with Us Today
