I love this office! It’s clean and tidy and the staff are so warm, courteous, and friendly. They always make me feel welcomed and are completely transparent with pricing and procedures. They are so professional and great at what they do. I definitely recommend going to this facility for dental work.

I haven't done my cleaning and check up since 2005 and Coast Dental took care of me right off the bat. Told me everything I needed to know and even repeated to me the information with ease because I wasn't familiar with all the things that my cleaning required. The cleaning went quick and great by Raoul. Tammy was great too setting up my appointments. Doctor Francisco was quick to figure out my teeth situation and explain what needed to be done. An amazing team indeed.

Regardless of the situation and nature of your dental emergency, Coast Dental Deltona is here to help. Our dentists are experienced in providing emergency care and will work to resolve your issue as quickly as possible. We offer a variety of dental and oral emergency services, including:

  • Tooth pain or ache. A toothache is one of the most common dental emergencies. A toothache can be caused by a number of things, such as cavities, gum disease, and infection.
  • Knocked-out tooth. If you knock out a tooth, it is important to have a professional examine it as soon as possible. They will try to reattach the tooth if it is still in place. If the tooth cannot be reattached, they may discuss dental implants or other restoration options.
  • Chipped tooth. A chipped tooth can often be repaired with a filling or dental bonding. If the chip is more extensive, a crown may be necessary.
  • Pain with your dentures. A common problem with dentures is that they can become loose, which can cause pain. If you are experiencing pain with your dentures, you may need to have them adjusted or replaced.
  • Abscessed tooth. An abscessed tooth is a very painful and serious dental emergency. It is a pocket of infection that can form at the root of a tooth or in between the teeth. If you are experiencing an abscessed tooth, you may need antibiotics and/or a root canal.
  • Broken bridge. A broken bridge can often be repaired with dental bonding or a crown. It can cause pain and difficulty chewing if not repaired.
  • Loose crown. A loose crown can often be repaired with dental adhesive. If the crown is damaged or lost, a new crown will need to be made.
  • Lost filling. A lost filling is a common dental emergency. If you lose a filling, you may have difficulty eating or speaking. You should have the filling replaced as soon as possible.

If you are experiencing a sudden dental emergency, don't wait. The team at Coast Dental Deltona highly encourages getting emergency attention as soon as possible to avoid more serious oral health conditions. Coast Dental Deltona is here to help you during your time of need.

Dental Issues and Emergencies Are Preventable

While dental emergencies can't always be avoided, there are some steps you can take to help prevent them. These are great best practices for oral health in general and can help keep you from experiencing a dental emergency. Some of these prevention tips include:

  • Brush your teeth at least twice a day with fluoride. Brushing your teeth twice a day (especially before bed) with fluoride toothpaste can help prevent cavities and other dental problems.
  • Floss daily. Flossing is an important part of oral health and can help prevent gum disease and other dental problems.
  • See your dentist consistently. Seeing your dentist every six months for a check-up can help catch dental problems early on before they become emergencies.
  • Don't smoke. Smoking is bad for your oral health and can lead to a number of dental problems.
  • Drink plenty of water. Drinking water helps keep your mouth healthy and rinse away food particles and bacteria.
  • Wear protective gear when playing sports. Wearing a mouthguard can help protect your teeth from injuries.
  • Take care of your dentures. If you wear dentures, make sure to clean them properly and soak them in water overnight.
  • Avoid hard foods. Eating hard, crunchy foods can cause chips and cracks in your teeth.
  • Consume a healthy diet. A balanced diet is good for your overall health and can also help keep your teeth healthy.

By following these prevention tips, you can help reduce your risk of experiencing a dental emergency. However, if you do find that you are experiencing a dental emergency, don't wait. Contact Coast Dental Deltona right away for help.
