Dental emergencies are extremely painful and can continue to cause damage when not treated quickly. If you or someone you know are experiencing a dental emergency in the Orland Park area, contact our emergency dental services immediately.
Our experienced dentist can help with emergencies such as:
Root canals are often needed when a client is experiencing extreme pain in their mouth from problems such as a cracked tooth, a deep cavity, issues from a filling, or even decay. A root canal is a procedure that removes the infected, inflamed, or weak part of the tooth that is causing pain. If you experience spontaneous, severe pain in your mouth, swollen gums, or other problematic signs, you may need a root canal.
Damaging or losing a crown can not only cause extreme pain, but it can damage your tooth as well. If you lose a crown, it’s crucial to get it replaced as quickly as possible to avoid infection and protect your tooth.
Filling repair is needed when there is evidence of tooth decay, failure of a filling, or when a filling or tooth is cracked. By going to the dentist regularly, they will be able to identify early signs of a filling failing, before it causes you pain or discomfort. If you wait too long to get a problematic filling fixed, it may crack and cause pain.
When wisdom teeth are broken, bacteria can infect them quickly. If this happens, emergency services are needed to extract the tooth. In most cases of broken wisdom teeth, it’s usually best to just remove them instead of trying to fix them. If you have a broken wisdom tooth, do not wait to get it seen by a professional.
Damaged, weak, or infected teeth often cause more harm than not. When that’s the case, sometimes having a tooth extracted is the best way to solve your problem. Emergency extractions are needed when a tooth is cracked, broken, infected, or putting a client’s oral health at risk.
While toothaches happen every once in a while, there is usually an underlying cause to the problem if they continue, especially if you suffer from severe toothaches. Problematic toothaches are caused by a variety of issues from infections to bad cavities. If you’re experiencing severe toothaches, do not wait for them to get worse. Call a dental professional and get the pain relief you need.
Gum swelling is another common sign of infection or even gum disease. When left untreated, inflamed gums can cause severe pain and discomfort. If you deal with any sort of gum swelling, you should make an emergency dental appointment ASAP to find the root of the problem.
A swollen jaw can be caused by a variety of underlying dental issues. One of the most common causes of jaw swelling is from inflammation and fluid gathering on or near the jaws. Tooth decay and impacted teeth are also common factors that cause swelling. To be safe and to prevent further issues, you should get a swollen jaw checked immediately.
Cracked teeth are nothing to take lightly. They cause extreme pain and damage to your mouth if you’re not careful. Cracked teeth can occur from chewing too hard on foods, blows to the mouth and jaw, or even chronic teeth grinding. If you think you have a cracked tooth, contact dental emergency services as soon as possible to get it assessed.
Emergency dental repair covers the different areas of dental issues that need to be fixed quickly, like trying to save a tooth. Whether you lost a tooth in a car accident or cracked a tooth eating candy, emergency dental repair services are needed to ensure that your teeth are taken care of and stay healthy.
